Changelog
All notable changes to this project will be documented in this file.
The format is based on Keep a Changelog, and this project adheres to Semantic Versioning.
Patch releases within a major series are rolled up under the major's entry
(e.g. 6.0.x lives under [6.0.0], 5.0.x lives under [5.0.0], all
4.x.y lives under [4.0.0], all 3.x.y lives under [3.0.0]). Tags
on GitHub still exist for each individual release; the consolidated entries
here cover everything those tags shipped.
[Unreleased]
[16.0.1] - 2026-10-07
Fixed
- Check for the required PowerShell 7 runtime before installing or upgrading either Solo or Self-Hosted mode, leaving the existing installation intact when it is missing.
- Direct missing-runtime guidance to PowerShell in the Microsoft Store and record the startup failure in the log.
[16.0.0] - 2026-10-07
Added
- Choose Solo only or Self-Hosted + Solo during installation. Solo setup opens local save tools without dedicated-server setup pages, server navigation, VM discovery, port checks or server background jobs.
- Solo Journey unlocks provide the main-quest choices from Player Admin, with offline writes, retained backups and save verification.
Changed
- Preserve the selected installation mode and existing configuration during reinstalls and silent updates. Existing installations keep Self-Hosted + Solo; switching from Solo to Self-Hosted offers the server setup pages.
- Keep Solo's Classic interface focused on local save tools and shared settings.
Fixed
- Show the correct Retail specialization levels after Max specializations and individual level edits, while retaining the Legacy track mapping.
[15.2.9] - 2026-10-07
Fixed
- Require a fresh installed-default read before Landsraad saves and refuse to write when defaults are unavailable or lack the required struct, preventing partial legacy fallback writes. This protects INI integrity without guaranteeing game-setting behavior.
- Prevent repeated update checks and channel changes from amplifying GitHub API requests. Reuse release data for channel/build selection, throttle forced refreshes to five minutes, and cache immutable source-tag identities.
- Respect GitHub rate-limit reset and retry intervals across updater endpoints, with a readable local retry time instead of a generic Forbidden error.
- Refresh the Test build picker when explicitly checking for updates.
[15.2.8] - 2026-10-07
Update the website image dependency to sharp 0.35.5 to resolve its vulnerable bundled SVG renderer.
Use the dedicated-server Landsraad struct supplied by the installed game's defaults. Preserve legacy custom values and complete default members when updating settings, and read the current struct in Player Admin. Older game defaults retain their legacy format.
15.2.8-test5 — Lifecycle rollback after host switches
- Store lifecycle rollback settings separately for each Hyper-V host and VM. Preserve the legacy local record for its original owner so switching to a LAN host no longer blocks reconciliation with another host's rollback state. Identity checks still prevent applying rollback settings to the wrong VM.
15.2.8-test4 — LAN installation and management
- Provision LAN hosts from a completed local Steam server-tool download, then transfer and verify the VM image before import. The remote host no longer depends on anonymous SteamCMD access.
- Keep the existing SSH key when authorizing a new guest, collect world details before setup, and report each provisioning stage accurately.
- Discover VM state, uptime and guest addresses together with the saved host credential. Share recent observations across requests to reduce repeated remote calls.
- Verify public TCP reachability through independent external observers, consistently with the header check. An unavailable check remains unverified rather than being reported as a closed port.
15.2.8-test3 — Public IP updates
- Keep the VM LAN address as Kubernetes InternalIP and the control-plane address when applying a public IP or DDNS update. Apply the public or relay address only as ExternalIP, including after reboot with legacy settings.
15.2.8-test2 — Solo grants
Add Solo bulk grants for building sets, armor, weapon and vehicle skins, dyes and house swatches using the same curated catalogs as Self-Hosted. Skip saved unlocks and held tokens, recheck ownership before writing, batch into available backpack slots and retain the previous save automatically. Tokens are processed after login; grants do not guarantee in-game activation.
Remove repeated confirmation popups from routine Solo grants and backed-up edits. Keep confirmations for restores, deletions and reward resets.
Update vulnerable build dependencies: source-map-js to 1.2.2, smol-toml to 1.9.0 and the site CSS selector parser to 7.1.6.
Ignore the unfixed CVE-2026-93748 in Astro's transitive
http-cache-semanticsdependency during Trivy scans.
Additional accepted fixes
Correct Retail Solo specialization track IDs so Gathering, Exploration, Combat and Sabotage edits target the matching in-game specialization. Preserve Crafting, the legacy adapter, other tracks, purchased rewards and journeys during individual level edits.
Exclude buildables unlocked through the tech tree from cosmetic building grants. Preserve other building pieces and decorations; Developer Storage remains available as an individual grant.
Preserve game UDP forwarding after Start/Restart and Settings IP updates when Kubernetes reports the public-IP alias as InternalIP. Refresh the forwarding helper during manual and DDNS updates, derive the VM address from its local route, reject obsolete public/public caches, and retain working rules when address discovery fails.
Include Max Landclaim Segments in the explicit client INI review. Retain backup creation and the requirement to close the game before applying client settings.
